Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade B, and why
golden-path-capture scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Golden Path Capture
Overview
The moment of highest lesson-density is when you — not the engineer — get stuck. You try the same sub-problem, hit the same failure signature 2+ times, then switch to a materially different approach that works. That struggle-then-success arc contains exactly the knowledge a future session needs: the dead ends to avoid and the golden path that resolved them. Left uncaptured, it is lost until a later mining sweep happens to notice it — if it ever does. Capture it immediately, in-session.
This skill sits between two siblings; keep the three distinct:
correction-capture— engineer-driven. Fires when the human says "no", "stop", "not like that", or redirects your approach. The knowledge originates from a person.golden-path-capture(this skill) — self-driven. Fires when you resolve your own repeated failure through trial and error, with no engineer correction involved. The knowledge originates from your own struggle.lesson-mining— after-the-fact. A periodic sweep of past session transcripts, reject-by-default, suggest-only. It is the safety net that catches what live capture missed; this skill is the live capture that means the sweep rarely has to.
The capture reuses correction-capture's destinations and the same scripts/learnings.sh add structured path — do not invent a new storage format. Frame the lesson around wrong_turns (the failed attempts) and time_cost (minutes the loop cost), because those are precisely what this trigger produces.
When To Use
- The same file, error message, or failure signature has failed 2+ times this session, then a materially different approach succeeded
- You looped on a build/test/config error, changed strategy, and it finally passed
- You discovered a non-obvious constraint the hard way (an API shape, an ordering requirement, a hidden dependency) after repeated attempts
- The resolution is durable — a future session hitting the same signature would benefit from knowing the golden path up front
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

golden-path-capture is a skill published in the GitHub repository moberghr/mtk-agent-toolkit (7 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 43 tokens to every session and 2,877 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 1 finding (reads agent configuration directories). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
