moai-adk: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/moai-domain-database/SKILL.md

moai-domain-database is a skill for Claude Code from modu-ai/moai-adk. It costs 64 tokens per session (2,566 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A database development guide covering PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle, and cloud database services. It focuses on how data is structured, stored, queried, cached, and scaled.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design schemas, model data, optimize queries, create indexes, configure caching, plan migrations, and choose or combine database platforms.
Why use it?
It helps address slow queries, unsuitable data models, weak indexing, and difficult multi-database setups.

About the project

MoAI-ADK is a Go-based harness that organizes and verifies Claude Code work across planning, implementation, synchronization, and review stages. Developers use it to structure agentic coding tasks, apply quality gates, and route work across language models, while the catalogue entries extend its workflow with skills, hooks, commands, MCP servers, instructions, and settings.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00064 $0.02566
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.01283
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00513
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00257

Security

Grade A, and why

moai-domain-database scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

When to Use:

  • Designing database schemas and data models
  • Implementing caching strategies and performance optimization
  • Building scalable data architectures
  • Working with multi-database systems
  • Optimizing database queries and performance

Implementation Guide

Quick Start Workflow

Database Stack Initialization:

Create a DatabaseManager instance and configure multiple database connections. Set up PostgreSQL with connection string, pool size of 20, and query logging enabled. Configure MongoDB with connection string, database name, and sharding enabled. Configure Redis with connection string, max connections of 50, and clustering enabled. Use the unified interface to query user data with profile and analytics across all database types.

Single Database Operations:

Run PostgreSQL schema migrations using the migration command with the database type and migration file path. Execute MongoDB aggregation pipelines by specifying the collection name and pipeline JSON file. Warm Redis cache by specifying key patterns and TTL values.

Core Components

PostgreSQL Module:

  • Advanced schema design and constraints
  • Complex query optimization and indexing
  • Window functions and CTEs
  • Partitioning and materialized views
  • Connection pooling and performance tuning

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
