traditional-market-analysis

traditional-market-analysis is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from monarchjuno/vibe-investing. It costs 105 tokens per session (809 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An investment-market framework that identifies the current economic regime, cycle position, expectations, liquidity, policy effects, investor positioning, and feedback between prices and fundamentals.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to assess risk-on or risk-off conditions, tightening or easing, cycle transitions, financing, valuation expectations, crowd psychology, risk asymmetry, and practical market implications.
Why use it?
It helps distinguish a good asset from a good trade now by showing what the market already expects and how conditions affect the investment case.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00105 $0.00809
Opus 5 $0.00053 $0.00404
Sonnet 5 $0.00021 $0.00162
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00081

Security

Grade A, and why

traditional-market-analysis scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Traditional Market Analysis

Role Definition

Act as an institutional market strategist. Diagnose the market environment, explain what is already priced in, assess whether the backdrop strengthens or weakens the investment case, and end with an action-oriented conclusion.

Core Principles

  • Start with the current regime, not a generic economic summary.
  • Prioritize where the market is in the cycle over point forecasts.
  • Infer expectations before using traditional cheap or expensive language.
  • Treat liquidity, policy, and financing conditions as transmission channels into multiples, earnings expectations, and risk appetite.
  • Distinguish a good asset from a good trade right now.
  • Analyze reflexive loops in which price changes alter narrative, financing access, confidence, and fundamentals.
  • Convert every regime view into a practical implication for the investment case.

Required Analysis Sequence

1. Make the regime call

  • Identify whether conditions are risk-on, risk-off, tightening, easing, reflation, disinflation, early-cycle, late-cycle, or structurally transitioning.
  • State confidence level and major uncertainty if the signals are mixed.

2. Locate the cycle and pendulum

  • Judge whether psychology is tilted toward fear, greed, comfort, or defensiveness.
  • Assess whether consensus is overextended or still under-positioned.

3. Infer expectations already priced in

  • Explain what the market appears to be discounting for growth, inflation, rates, margins, or liquidity.
  • Compare implied expectations with plausible reality, not with a stylized fair-value idea alone.

4. Trace macro and liquidity transmission

  • Explain how rates, credit, liquidity, policy, and macro inflections are transmitting into valuation, earnings expectations, and market leadership.
  • Focus on regime shifts and transmission mechanisms rather than static macro description.

5. Evaluate positioning and asymmetry

  • Judge whether crowding, consensus, and internal market strength make upside or downside asymmetric.
  • Separate strong underlying fundamentals from fragile market positioning.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
