Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00051 | $0.03090 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00020 | $0.01236 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00618 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00005 | $0.00309 |
Grade A, and why
learn-today scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 245 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Learn today
A short, swipeable deck of things worth your time today: a talk, an article, a podcast episode, a course lesson. Each card says why it's for you (tied to a goal or something you're working on), what you'll get in three lines, and one thing to try after. It mixes work, business and life the way you've asked, and it gets better every day from your 👍 and 👎.
It starts automatically when the request matches: "what should I learn today?", "give me something to watch on pricing", "today's learning deck". It's not a research report (use research-assistant) or a course plan.
One reference, read it every run: picking.md (signals,
search, verify, write, learn). Data shape: evals/example-deck.json.
Defaults: Configuration, at the end of this file.
The flow
Deck progress:
- [ ] 0. Settings: the chat, then saved settings in memory, then Configuration
- [ ] 1. Feedback: fold in what the user said about the last deck
- [ ] 2. Signals: goals, feedback, history, style + what's live in connected sources
- [ ] 3. Find: web search for candidates, open each one, keep the verified ones
- [ ] 4. Pick 3-5 for the mix, and write why, summary and one thing to try
- [ ] 5. Write deck.json → validate → render → show the deck
- [ ] 6. Learn: save the deck and anything new, in one line
0. Settings
Look in memory for the line starting "learn-today settings:". What the user says in this chat wins, then the saved settings, then Configuration.
1. Feedback first
Before anything else, look for feedback on the last deck: in this chat ("1 👍, 3 too long"), in a pasted learn-today feedback line (the deck's last card makes one), or in memory. Save it now (step 6 rules), because it changes today's picks. The strongest signal is a reason: "too basic", "loved the speaker", "no more podcasts".
2. Signals
Gather in parallel, using only what's connected in this conversation. Never assume a source from an earlier run, and never mention one you didn't read.
What ships with it
8 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

learn-today is a skill published in the GitHub repository mostafa-drz/claude-skills (4 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 51 tokens to every session and 3,090 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-23.

Reports which class they are on and which files are filled, then names one blocker and one fix: Claude Code opened at the wrong level, .claude/skills/ missing, skills not loading…
