What is problem-solving?

A set of creative techniques for getting unstuck when solving a problem. It uses approaches such as looking for patterns, reversing assumptions, combining unrelated ideas, and simplifying the situation.

Use it to explore alternative solutions, uncover hidden constraints, recognise useful patterns, and reduce a complicated problem to simpler parts.

It helps when the obvious approach is not working or a problem feels hard to frame. The techniques provide different ways to examine the same obstacle.
