ugc-shortform-prompting

ugc-shortform-prompting is a skill for Claude Code from MrJPTech/macro-pickle. It costs 168 tokens per session (1,615 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A writing guide for creating faceless, vertical product videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. It turns a product image into a video concept with a hook, captions, structure, and call to action.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan product finds, unboxings, demonstrations, problem-solution videos, and before-and-after clips designed to sell products.
Why use it?
It removes the guesswork from choosing a short-video format and explaining why people should buy the product. It also keeps the product as the focus without showing a person's face.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00168 $0.01615
Opus 5 $0.00084 $0.00807
Sonnet 5 $0.00034 $0.00323
Haiku 4.5 $0.00017 $0.00161

Security

Grade A, and why

ugc-shortform-prompting scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

UGC Short-Form Selling Prompts

The content-marketing / selling control layer for macro-pickle. It decides the content form — hook, beat structure, captions, CTA, platform fit — that sells a product in a vertical short. It does not re-teach cinematography: camera, motion, lighting, and identity belong to the openmontage-video-prompting skill and to buildVideoPrompt. This layer chooses what kind of video and how it sells.

Read this BEFORE building a product/UGC selling prompt. Build with the Prompt Engine (scripts/lib/prompts/ugc.ts + the build_ugc_spot MCP tool) — never hand-roll the brief. Methodology: content/knowledge/PROMPT-COOKBOOK.md §14.

The one rule that matters most

Faceless. Product is the hero. Sell in the first 3 seconds. Product + hands + on-screen captions + music/VO, no face in frame. Faceless is the documented house format and it removes identity-lock, face-seed Veo routing, and IP/likeness cost. Frame it as organic finds-format seeding, not a paid interruption ad.

The selling formats

Format Use it for
faceless-finds (default) "things you didn't know you needed" reveal — the scroll-stopper
unboxing tactile first-touch desire
problem-solution show the pain, then the product erasing it
demo straight value — how it works in 8s
before-after transformation proof (strongest for utility goods)
listicle "#1 pick of the season" ranked callout
tutorial teach a use-case, sell by demonstrating mastery

Pick one per spot — it seeds the hook line, the demo beat, the caption cards, and pacing.

The 8-second beat skeleton

0.0-3.0s HOOK — the reveal / the pain / the curiosity gap (the 3-second rule)
3.0-6.0s DEMO — one clean in-use moment, hands only, the product proving itself
6.0-8.0s CTA — final beauty shot + a hand to the link/shop sticker

One clip = one beat-set. The posted edit stitches 1–3 clips to the platform sweet spot.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
