Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00027 | $0.00640 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00011 | $0.00256 |

Grade A, and why
cancel scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 64 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Ported from oh-my-codex
cancel. OMX runtime conventions ($macroinvocation,omxCLI,.omx/state directory) are replaced with WorkBuddy idioms (Skill tool, Agent tool, task list,.workbuddy/memory).
Cancel
The standard, safe way to stop whatever is currently running and exit cleanly.
WorkBuddy has no persistent "mode" state like OMX's .omx/state/*.json, so there is
nothing to terminalize across sessions — but in-progress work within the current session
can still be stopped. Use this skill whenever the user says "cancel", "stop", "abort", or
asks to halt the current flow.
What It Does
- Stop background work. If any background shell command (started with
run_in_background) is running, stop it with the TaskStop tool (or send itstask_id). - Stop spawned agents. If any Agent tool calls are still in flight, let them finish their current message or stop them; do not start new ones.
- Clear the task list. Mark every
in_progresstask ascompletedonly if it is genuinely done; otherwise set it back topendingso it is not silently lost, or delete it. Do not leave phantomin_progressitems. - Preserve recoverable progress. Anything worth keeping (files written, decisions made) should
already be on disk or in
.workbuddy/memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md. Do not delete user files. - Report and yield. Tell the user what was stopped and what (if anything) remains, then stop. Do not auto-continue into another workflow.
Usage
/cancel
Or say: "cancel", "stop", "abort".
Force / Full Reset
WorkBuddy sessions are stateless between turns, so a simple "stop" already resets the flow.
Use --force / --all semantics only to also:
- Clear all in-progress and pending tasks from the task list (not just the current one).
- Remove any
.workbuddy/memoryscratch notes you created for this run if the user wants a clean slate.
Example:
/cancel --force
Notes
- Safe by default: only the current session's in-flight work is affected; never touch unrelated files, other sessions, or global config.
- Resume-friendly: written files and memory entries survive a cancel, so the user can pick up later without re-doing completed work.
- No destructive deletion: cancelling never deletes the user's source, git history, or installed skills.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

cancel is a skill published in the GitHub repository mrzhangguoguo/oh-my-workbuddy (2 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 27 tokens to every session and 640 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
