strategy-content

strategy-content is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from mstr-sharma/strategy-automate. It costs 190 tokens per session (5,954 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A REST-based toolkit for working with Strategy reports, dashboards, documents, cubes, and datasets. It can find, run, export, create, organize, and publish business content, including PDF, Excel, and CSV exports.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to search for content, answer prompts, run reports or dashboards, export results, manage folders and objects, inspect lineage, publish to Library, and work with cubes and datasets.
Why use it?
It lets developers automate content access and organization instead of performing these tasks manually in Strategy. It also supports searching, lineage, copying, moving, renaming, and certification.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00190 $0.05954
Opus 5.5 $0.00076 $0.02382
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00038 $0.01191
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00595

Security

Grade A, and why

strategy-content scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 219 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Strategy content

Reports, dashboards (dossiers), documents, folders, cubes and datasets: find them, run them, export them, create and organize them. Every call goes through strategy_api.py; sign-in, ops / describe / call, dry runs and --yes are in skills/strategy-platform/SKILL.md. Exports carry live data; deletes and overwrites are permanent.

Scope

Owns the spec tags Reports (with /api/model/reports), Dashboards, Dashboards(Dossiers) and Documents, Dashboard(Dossier) Personal View, the ToBeDeprecated /api/dossier/… family, Library, Browsing, Object Management, Content Groups, Content Bundles, Themes, Palettes, Maps, Cards, Hyper, Elements, Transaction Reports, Cubes, Datasets, Datamarts, MDX Cube Catalog, Runtimes and Shared File Store: $API ops --tag strategy-content. Themes, palettes, maps, datamarts, transaction reports, MDX catalogs, runtimes and the shared file store have no workflow here yet — ops --tag <tag>, describe, call.

Route elsewhere:

  • Mosaic data models (type 3, subtype 779 + extType 448): build, publish, refresh, model objects, model ACLs and security filters → skills/build-mosaic-model/SKILL.md. Classic schema objects (attributes, facts, metrics, filters, prompt definitions) → skills/build-mosaic-model/SKILL.md ("Classic schema objects"; plan with skills/strategy-data-modeling/SKILL.md).
  • Subscriptions, schedules, scheduled refresh, History List → skills/strategy-distribution/SKILL.md.
  • Users, groups, ACL trustees, security roles, privileges, project row governors → strategy-admin. Caches, jobs, monitors, telemetry → strategy-ops. Packages, migrations, project duplication → strategy-migration. Numbers that must match a reference → skills/strategy-validation/SKILL.md.

How to work

  1. Sign in once (strategy_auth.py login), export MSTR_PROJECT_ID, and from the repo root API="python3 skills/strategy-platform/scripts/strategy_api.py".
  2. $API describe <operationId> before every call. describe and call flag the operations the spec marks deprecated ("deprecated": true) — the /api/dossier/… family, /api/dossierPersonalView, /api/dashboards… (.mstr import/export, createDashboard), answerPrompts_1 and /api/objects/cubes/dataImport. Avoid them.
  3. Classify before every write: $API call getObject -p id=<id> -p type=<type>. Types: 3 report/cube/model (subtype 768 grid, 769 graph, 774 grid+graph, 776 classic cube, 779 data-import cube — a Mosaic model when extType is 448 — 781 Hyper card), 55 dashboard/document (14081), 8 folder, 18 shortcut, 1 filter, 4 metric, 12 attribute, 34 user/group, 58 security filter.
  4. Reads first. Instances, exports, searches and queries are POSTs: they change nothing, but call still needs --yes.
  5. Every write: run it without --yes, check the printed request, then add --yes; read the object back.
  6. Delete the instances you create (deleteDocumentInstance, ms-deleteReportInstance) and any test folders, copies or datasets; report leftovers with their ids.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

strategy-content is a skill published in the GitHub repository mstr-sharma/strategy-automate (2 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 190 tokens to every session and 5,954 once invoked, about $0.0008 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-06.
