claude-vibe-squad: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/claim-verification/SKILL.md

claim-verification is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from mtarcure/claude-vibe-squad. It costs 96 tokens per session (294 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A fact-checking guide for a completed document or other deliverable. It breaks statements about numbers, quotations, sources, dates, and forecasts into claims and checks each against the exact supporting source text.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to verify statistics, quotations, named sources, dates, and predictions in finished work, and to identify claims that sources confirm or contradict.
Why use it?
It helps catch unsupported or incorrectly stated facts before publication. The focus is whether the deliverable's factual assertions are actually supported.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00096 $0.00294
Opus 5 $0.00048 $0.00147
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00059
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00029

Security

Grade A, and why

claim-verification scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Claim Verification

Decompose content into load-bearing claims and verify each against evidence (Hard Rule 8 truth gate).

Steps

  1. Decompose the content into discrete load-bearing claims.
  2. Classify each claim: fact | quote | calculation | forecast | opinion | inference.
  3. Map each claim to the exact evidence span that would confirm it.
  4. Verify against sources; for web claims, route a grounding worker (Gemini grounding or research handoff) that returns a typed evidence bundle, then adjudicate it.
  5. Reproduce any arithmetic and check units/internal consistency.
  6. Return a per-claim verdict: supported | unsupported | unverifiable.

Acceptance

  • Every load-bearing claim is classified and mapped to evidence.
  • "Unverifiable" is distinguished from "false"; a model cutoff is never treated as verification.
  • No PASS while a load-bearing claim remains unverifiable.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

claim-verification is a skill published in the GitHub repository mtarcure/claude-vibe-squad (142 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 96 tokens to every session and 294 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
