new-page

new-page is a skill for Claude Code from mtvrkan/senior-dev-kit. It costs 40 tokens per session (623 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for building a brand-new admin panel page in any supported web framework. It first studies the project’s existing pages and conventions before planning and implementing the new page.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create new dashboard pages, tables, data-fetching views, forms, dialogs, and other admin interfaces from scratch.
Why use it?
It reduces the risk of introducing a page that looks or behaves differently from the rest of the admin panel. It also requires loading, empty, error, and populated states.

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00040 $0.00623
Opus 5 $0.00020 $0.00311
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00125
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00062

Security

Grade A, and why

new-page scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 30 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

new-page

New admin page from scratch. Follow this protocol — do not skip steps. See agent_docs/new-page-guide.md for framework detection table, convention discovery globs, form/table patterns, and the quality gate checklist.

  1. Read PROJECT-CONTRACTS.md + DESIGN-SPEC.md if present (project root — written by the from-scratch skill; absent on projects not bootstrapped with it, skip) — they override everything below. No spec → the existing pages are the spec (step 3); never introduce a different design character.
  2. Detect framework (next.config.→Next.js | vite.config.→React+Vite | nuxt.config.→Nuxt | angular.json→Angular | svelte.config.→SvelteKit | artisan→Laravel | manage.py→Django | Gemfile+routes.rb→Rails).
  3. Find 1-2 similar pages, read one fully — extract shell/layout, data fetching, UI library, state/loading, token/spacing usage.
  4. Output plan (FRAMEWORK / SIMILAR PAGE / SHELL / DATA SOURCE / STATES / FORMS). Wait for "go" if 3+ component types.
  5. Build in order: shell → header → loading skeleton → data fetch → populated → empty → error → forms/dialogs. All 4 states required, semantic tokens only, no new UI libraries.
  6. No DESIGN-SPEC.md and no comparable page to match (first page, marketing site, empty shell)? That is a design decision, not an edit — design-lead owns it: brief intake, three options, one question, direction + signature recorded in DESIGN-SPEC.md, then build to it. Never default.
  7. After building run /design-check and /a11y-check (both always), plus /seo-check when the page is public-facing — this skill covers layout and states, not direction adherence, WCAG conformance or metadata/canonical/alt-text.
  8. Do not touch: API routes/handlers, auth, database, payment — escalate to senior-engineer (backend) or security-guard (auth/payment).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

new-page is a skill published in the GitHub repository mtvrkan/senior-dev-kit (5 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 40 tokens to every session and 623 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
