new-screen

new-screen is a skill for Claude Code from mtvrkan/senior-dev-kit. It costs 53 tokens per session (535 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for building a brand-new mobile screen or major interface section in Kotlin/Compose, Flutter, or Swift/SwiftUI. It guides the work from platform detection and state planning through implementation.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create mobile screens, bottom sheets, forms, dialogs, and previews from scratch. It also identifies screens involving authentication or payment data that need security review.
Why use it?
It helps prevent incomplete screens and inconsistent design by requiring loading, empty, error, and populated states, plus checks for navigation, themes, spacing, and user feedback.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00053 $0.00535
Opus 5 $0.00026 $0.00267
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00107
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00053

Security

Grade A, and why

new-screen scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

new-screen

New mobile screen from scratch. Follow this protocol — do not skip steps. See agent_docs/new-screen-guide.md for UiState patterns, component palettes, platform tokens, and the quality gate checklist.

  1. Detect platform: build.gradle(.kts) → Kotlin/Compose | pubspec.yaml → Flutter | .xcodeproj/.swift → Swift/SwiftUI.
  2. Find a similar existing screen and read it fully — extract navigation/routing pattern, state management, component structure.
  3. Plan all 4 states (loading | empty | error | populated), output plan before coding. Wait for "go" if 3+ components or a form.
  4. STOP + ESCALATE to security-guard if the screen handles auth or payment data — this is a hard stop, not a "wait for go and proceed" case.
  5. Build in order: UiState/state class → ViewModel/Controller → screen skeleton → loading → error → empty → populated → forms/dialogs/sheets → previews.
  6. Colors/typography from theme/semantic tokens only — never hardcoded. Spacing: 4dp/8pt grid only. Feedback: Snackbar/SnackBar/.alert — never Toast/alert().
  7. First screen in a new app, or no design direction recorded? That belongs to design-lead — brief intake, then idiom distance + material + motion + the one signature moment settled with the user and recorded before building; existing app → match the screens read in step 2, never introduce a second character.
  8. Run /design-check and /a11y-check after building — this skill covers states and platform tokens, not direction adherence, monotony, whether the signature landed, or TalkBack/VoiceOver conformance.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
