psychology-of-money

psychology-of-money is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from muyuhill/100books-to-skills. It costs 61 tokens per session (2,178 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A framework for making better decisions about saving, spending, and investing by considering human behavior as well as financial knowledge. It is based on Morgan Housel’s book The Psychology of Money.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to think through investing decisions, spending impulses, wealth-building, financial anxiety, risk, long-term compounding, and the difference between becoming wealthy and keeping wealth.
Why use it?
It helps explain why people with similar information can make different money choices based on their past experiences, goals, emotions, luck, and tolerance for risk.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00061 $0.02178
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.01089
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00436
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00218

Security

Grade A, and why

psychology-of-money scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The Psychology of Money —

Morgan Housel

(No One's Crazy)

(Luck & Risk)

(Never Enough)

(Confounding Compounding)

(Getting Wealthy vs Staying Wealthy)

(Tails, You Win)

7. 自由(Freedom)

(Man in the Car Paradox)

(Wealth is What You Don't See)

10. 存钱(Save Money)

(Reasonable > Rational)

12. 意外(Surprise!)

(Room for Error)
