sage-canary-attestation

sage-canary-attestation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from MythicAgents/sage. It costs 70 tokens per session (2,540 once invoked), scanned A, original, GPL-3.0.

A read-only verification process for a bounded Mythic canary run, which is a small test of the native system. It reconstructs the run from Mythic’s own records and compares them with the expected conversation trace.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after a native canary run to rebuild the recorded sequence, compare it with the frozen expected trace, and decide whether the kernel behaved as intended.
Why use it?
It provides an independent check of whether the system behaved correctly without relying only on the system’s own claims. The process uses a read-only Spectator credential and does not alter the records.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00070 $0.02540
Opus 5 $0.00035 $0.01270
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00508
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00254

Security

Grade A, and why

sage-canary-attestation scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (scripts/attest_canary.py, scripts/egress_probe.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
