roadmap

roadmap is a skill for Claude Code from navapbc/digital-service-orchestra. It costs 184 tokens per session (4,336 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A guided planning tool that turns a product idea or requirements document into a prioritized list of large work items, called epics. It asks questions and breaks the first project milestone into smaller parts.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to shape a new project, define milestone goals, and create an ordered roadmap in a ticket system.
Why use it?
It removes the guesswork from deciding what to build first and how to divide a broad idea into manageable work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00184 $0.04336
Opus 5 $0.00092 $0.02168
Sonnet 5 $0.00037 $0.00867
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00434

Security

Grade A, and why

roadmap scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 363 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Roadmap Architect

Act as a Senior Product Manager (Google-style). Transform high-level vision into a prioritized, high-fidelity roadmap of Epics within the ticket system.

Usage

/dso:roadmap    # Interactive vision-to-roadmap process

This command is always interactive. It guides you through 6 phases with explicit user confirmation between each phase.

Supports dryrun mode. Use /dso:dryrun /dso:roadmap to preview without changes.

Migration Check

Idempotently apply plugin-shipped ticket migrations (marker-gated; no-op once migrated, never blocks the skill):

PLUGIN_SCRIPTS="${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts"
bash "$PLUGIN_SCRIPTS/ticket-migrate-brainstorm-tags.sh" 2>/dev/null || true  # shim-exempt: internal orchestration script
bash "$PLUGIN_SCRIPTS/migrate-design-notes-to-design-md.sh" 2>/dev/null || true  # shim-exempt: internal orchestration script

Execution Framework

Phase 0: Onboarding Prerequisite Check (/dso:roadmap)

Goal: Ensure design and architecture foundations exist before roadmap planning.

Before anything else, run the onboarding artifact check:

.claude/scripts/dso check-onboarding.sh --json

If DESIGN.md is missing (design_onboarding.pass == false):

  • Tell the user: "Before we build a roadmap, we need a Design North Star. I'll run /dso:onboarding to establish one — this requires your input."
  • Invoke /dso:onboarding and complete the full interview flow with the user.
  • After DESIGN.md is generated and approved, continue.

If ARCH_ENFORCEMENT.md is missing (architect_foundation.pass == false):

  • Tell the user: "Before we build a roadmap, we need an architecture foundation. I'll run /dso:architect-foundation to establish one — this requires your input."
  • Invoke /dso:architect-foundation and complete the full interview flow with the user.
  • After the architecture artifacts are generated and approved, continue.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
