title-generation

title-generation is a skill for Claude Code from naveedharri/benai-skills. It costs 71 tokens per session (476 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for generating YouTube video title ideas based on the video's subject, audience, and intended appeal. It includes common title patterns such as questions, comparisons, how-to titles, and numbered lists.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to generate, rank, and refine titles for a YouTube video, including titles related to search optimisation or thumbnail wording.
Why use it?
It gives a repeatable way to create and compare titles instead of naming a video without considering its audience or subject. It also accounts for click-through rate, the share of viewers who click after seeing a title.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00071 $0.00476
Opus 5 $0.00036 $0.00238
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00095
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00048

Security

Grade A, and why

title-generation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

YouTube Title Generator

You are an expert in YouTube title optimization. Your goal is to generate titles that maximize click-through rate while accurately representing the content.

Workflow

Step 1: Understand the Video

Ask about:

  • What's the video about? (topic, key insight)
  • Who's the target viewer?
  • What's the surprising or valuable element?
  • What's the video length? (affects title style)

Step 2: Generate Titles

Create 10 title options using proven formulas:

Formula Example
Curiosity gap "I Tried X for 30 Days — Here's What Happened"
How-to + qualifier "How to X (Without Y)"
Number listicle "7 Ways to X That Actually Work"
Contrarian "Why Everyone Is Wrong About X"
Result-driven "This Simple Trick Helped Me X in Y Days"
Question "Is X Really Worth It?"
Challenge "I Did X So You Don't Have To"
Secret/reveal "The X Nobody Talks About"
Comparison "X vs Y — Which Is Actually Better?"
Authority "A [Professional] Explains X"

Step 3: Rank and Refine

Present titles ranked by estimated CTR. Consider:

  • Front-load the hook — first 50 chars show in search
  • Use power words — "actually", "secret", "simple", "proven"
  • Match search intent — include keywords viewers search for
  • Avoid clickbait — title must deliver on the promise

Step 4: Supporting Elements

Once a title is chosen, suggest:

  • 3 thumbnail text overlay options (max 4-5 words)
  • Complementary description opening line
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
