Media-Editor-MCP: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/pp-lyric-reel/SKILL.md

pp-lyric-reel is a skill for Claude Code from nguyenph88/Media-Editor-MCP. It costs 150 tokens per session (2,026 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A video-making workflow that illustrates timed song lyrics with matching stock clips. It translates and interprets each lyric line, searches for footage, and places clips over the song.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a portrait or horizontal lyric reel from up to 60 seconds of a music file, with downloaded footage.
Why use it?
It removes the manual work of finding and timing a visual clip for every sung line.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00150 $0.02026
Opus 5 $0.00075 $0.01013
Sonnet 5 $0.00030 $0.00405
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.00203

Security

Grade A, and why

pp-lyric-reel scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 68 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Lyric-illustrated reel — stock video synced to the words

Feed a song; for each sung line, a stock clip that illustrates its meaning plays while it's sung. e.g. "lặng nhìn mùa thu xưa lá rơi bên thềm" → translate + interpret → search "autumn leaves falling porch, cinematic" → that clip fills the line's span. Reuses [[pp-create-reel-once]]'s build machinery; only slot allocation differs (lyric-spans, not clip spans). Vertical 9:16, visuals only.

The creative step is yours, in-conversation. transcribe returns the lyrics + timestamps; YOU translate each line AND turn it into a concrete visual search query. No translation tool — that semantic leap is the point.

Inputs

  • <music file> — the song (required).
  • [startSec endSec] — the window of the song to illustrate. Capped at 60s (if endSec − startSec > 60, clamp endSec = startSec + 60). If omitted, auto-start at the first vocal and take up to 60s from there (see Step 0).
  • [horizontal] — 16:9 instead of the default portrait 9:16.
  • [footageDir] — where to save downloaded clips. Default a temp dir; the user may name a folder (e.g. D:\Video Makers\Short Footages\Random).

Pre-flight

premiere_health + analysis_health green. Honor the under-20MB test-media preference. Confirm a stock key is configured — fetch_stock_videos errors clearly if PEXELS_API_KEY/PIXABAY_API_KEY are unset.

Step 0 — Cut a bounded ≤60s slice FIRST (mandatory)

Never transcribe a full song — a 3-4 min track can hang transcribe for minutes-to-hours. Always cut a bounded slice with ffmpeg (imageio_ffmpeg.get_ffmpeg_exe(), -ss START -t LEN) and run all analysis on the slice. The slice is also "the music" placed on A1, so the reel = the slice.

  • Range given: slice = [startSec, min(endSec, startSec+60)].
  • No range (auto): the slice MUST start on the vocals — transcribe guesses language from the file's START, and an instrumental intro makes it mis-detect (e.g. picks English on a Vietnamese song → garbled text). So:
    1. Cut a probe slice [0, 90], transcribe it (text may be garbage if the intro is instrumental — we only need timing). First segment with real text → vocal onset V (in original time).
    2. Final slice = [V, min(V+60, songEnd)]. This starts on the vocals → correct language.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
