troubleshooting is a skill for Claude Code from nguyenthanhtat/screen1-claude. It costs 0 tokens per session (1,973 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A troubleshooting guide for BigQuery, Google's service for storing and querying large datasets.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to investigate BigQuery errors, check access, reduce query size, add partition filters, and fix SQL.
Why use it?
It helps diagnose common query problems such as permission errors, resource limits, and SQL syntax failures.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.01973
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00986
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00395
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00197

Security

Grade A, and why

troubleshooting scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

BigQuery Troubleshooting

Parent Skill: /bigquery
Path: /bigquery/troubleshooting

Purpose

Debug errors, resolve common issues, and fix BigQuery problems.

When to Use

Trigger when:

  • Keywords: error, fail, debug, troubleshoot, fix, problem
  • User encounters: permissions errors, quota errors, syntax errors

Chat commands:

/bigquery/troubleshooting fix error "Resources exceeded"
/bigquery/troubleshooting debug permission denied
/bigquery/troubleshooting resolve syntax error in query

Common Errors & Solutions

1. Permission Denied (403)

Error:

Access Denied: BigQuery BigQuery: Permission denied while getting Drive credentials

Solutions:

# Grant necessary role
gcloud projects add-iam-policy-binding PROJECT_ID \
  --member="user:EMAIL" \
  --role="roles/bigquery.dataViewer"

# Check current permissions
bq show --dataset PROJECT:DATASET

2. Resources Exceeded (400)

Error:

Resources exceeded during query execution

Solutions:

-- Use partition filter
SELECT * FROM events
WHERE DATE(timestamp) = '2024-02-09'  -- Add partition filter
LIMIT 1000;

-- Break into smaller queries
-- Use LIMIT for development
-- Add more WHERE filters

3. Syntax Errors (400)

Error:

Syntax error: Expected end of input but got keyword SELECT

Common causes:

  • Missing comma in SELECT
  • Wrong JOIN syntax
  • Unclosed parenthesis
  • Reserved keyword as column name

Solutions:

-- ❌ Wrong
SELECT
  user_id
  event_name  -- Missing comma
FROM events;

-- ✅ Correct
SELECT
  user_id,
  event_name
FROM events;

-- Escape reserved keywords
SELECT `user`, `group` FROM table;

4. Table Not Found (404)

Error:

Not found: Table PROJECT:dataset.table

Solutions:

# Check table exists
bq ls PROJECT:dataset

# Check project/dataset name
bq show PROJECT:dataset.table

# Use fully qualified name
SELECT * FROM `project.dataset.table`;

5. Quota Exceeded (429)

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

troubleshooting is a skill published in the GitHub repository nguyenthanhtat/screen1-claude (2 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,973 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
