ai-to-figma

ai-to-figma is a skill for Codex from Niall-Young/AItoFigma. It costs 94 tokens per session (2,182 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for turning interface briefs, screenshots, or Figma references into approved static web layouts and editable Figma designs.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan web or iOS interfaces, create and review full-screen previews, prepare capture-safe HTML, and transfer the approved result into Figma.
Why use it?
It keeps design decisions, visual previews, fonts, assets, and approval steps organized before the final interface is rebuilt.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00094 $0.02182
Opus 5 $0.00047 $0.01091
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00436
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00218

Security

Grade A, and why

ai-to-figma scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 14 executable files (scripts/init-html.mjs, scripts/inline-mingcute-icon.mjs, scripts/lib/typography-plan.mjs, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AI to Figma

Turn a design brief or visual reference into an approved visual direction, rebuild it as validated static HTML, then capture that HTML into an editable Figma Design file.

Core contract

  1. Resolve the brief, reference role, delivery target, fidelity mode, and device before creating the task workspace. Open the delivery-target chooser only for missing target fields. In Codex, insert it with the native ::codex-inline-vis directive; do not substitute a visualize content reference or modal form.
  2. Scaffold design.md with the resolved mode and without creating index.html. For adaptation and independent planning, establish the visual direction, generate a full-screen preview, iterate without a fixed limit, and stop until the user explicitly approves one version.
  3. After explicit approval, persist the selected file under previews/ and run scripts/record-preview-approval.mjs. Reconstruction skips only this full-screen preview gate, not generation of separate final assets.
  4. Resolve the local-font Typography Plan, inventory every non-text final visual in the Visual Asset Plan, classify its complexity as structural, flat, or rich, and show both complete decision tables to the user. Never abbreviate away composition, identity, complexity, method, or status. The approved full-screen preview is a reference, not a final asset.
  5. Resolve every typography and visual-asset row to ready, validate all required gates, then create index.html with scripts/init-html.mjs. Stop on any blocked item.
  6. Rebuild the approved direction with static HTML, inline CSS, separate final assets, and only small amounts of native JavaScript. Mark each planned visual with its data-visual-id; never embed the full-screen preview or introduce React or a remote runtime.
  7. Validate the rendered page and its visual-plan mappings locally before requesting a Figma capture.
  8. Use Figma MCP generate_figma_design as the delivery path and open only the root-scoped captureUrl emitted by scripts/serve-preview.mjs. Do not silently fall back to use_figma, clipboard HTML, SVG import, or a flat screenshot.
  9. Treat every capture ID as single-use. Permit one diagnosed retry with a new capture ID, then stop and report the failure.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
