pm-business-model

pm-business-model is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from nmrtn/nanopm. It costs 80 tokens per session (5,462 once invoked), scanned C, original, MIT.

A business-planning workflow for defining how a company makes money and reaches paying customers. It can inspect pricing pages, existing project notes, and code, or gather information through questions when starting from an empty project.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a business-model document covering revenue sources, pricing and packaging, how the product reaches customers, and available signs about the economics.
Why use it?
It turns scattered business information into one documented description of the business model, pricing, sales approach, and related risks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00080 $0.05462
Opus 5 $0.00040 $0.02731
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.01092
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00546

Security

Grade C, and why

pm-business-model scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Multi-host portability rules. When invoking AskUserQuestion:

  1. The header field MUST be a short noun phrase (≤ 12 characters). Mistral Vibe rejects longer headers with string_too_long. Pick from: Start, Target, Scope, Audience, Methodology, Feature, Question.
  2. The options list MUST have at least 2 items. Vibe rejects empty/single-option calls. For free-text input, always provide ≥ 2 framing options (e.g. Yes, here's the input / Skip) — never call ask_user_question with options: [].

What this skill does

/pm-business-model answers one question: how does this company make money, and how does it reach the people who pay? It produces the wiki Define page .nanopm/wiki/docs/business-model.md — the model type, revenue streams, pricing & packaging, the go-to-market motion, any unit-economics signals, and the riskiest assumption baked into the model.

It runs in one of two modes, driven by whether the wiki Define page .nanopm/wiki/docs/business-model.md already exists. Refine mode — the doc exists: the skill anchors on your previous version, pulls only the relevant cross-doc context via a retrieval subagent, and asks sharpening questions to update it. Create mode — the page is missing: if there's a codebase, artifacts, or a public site it reverse-engineers a draft from pricing/billing signals and the public pricing page and asks validating questions before writing; if the repo is empty it interviews you from scratch. Either way it confirms with you — it never ships assumptions unchecked.

This is a Define doc that feeds strategy, objectives, and PRD scope — they must win commercially, not just functionally. Run it early.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
