sub-agents

sub-agents is a skill for Codex from noho/code-is-cheap. It costs 58 tokens per session (2,697 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A set of rules for starting separate coding agents as child processes. These agents can investigate, implement, or review work in isolated folders and return structured results.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to dispatch research, coding, and review tasks to Claude or Codex runner commands. It also covers workspace paths, temporary run folders, output files, and restrictions such as no commits or pushes.
Why use it?
It keeps delegated tasks separated and makes their permissions, files, limits, and expected results explicit. This reduces accidental changes to unrelated work and makes parallel tasks easier to track.

Skill for Codex

Written for Codex: agents/openai.yaml present. Also seen: mentions subagents; mentions Claude Code; mentions AGENTS.md.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00058 $0.02697
Opus 5.5 $0.00023 $0.01079
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00539
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00270

Measured 6d ago against content hash 39c928edc989, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

sub-agents scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Sub Agents

Runtime Runner Providers
Claude Code claude-agent-run ds-flash mimo mimo-fast mimo-flash qwen kimi glm glm-flash local hy
Codex codex-agent-run ds-flash mimo mimo-fast mimo-flash qwen kimi glm glm-flash local gpt-6-astra gpt-6-astra-x gpt-6-astra-max gpt-6-sol gpt-6-sol-x gpt-6-sol-max gpt-6-luna business

codex-agent-run --provider mimo --cwd /absolute/workspace --prompt-file /absolute/task.md
claude-agent-run --provider ds-flash --cwd /absolute/workspace --prompt "检查 src/parser.py 对空输入的处理,只报告发现,不修改文件。"

不要求子 Agent 自报 runtime/provider/model。

  • Codex 总控:每个任务用一次独立的 exec_command,设置 sandbox_permissions: "require_escalated" 并说明任务。 返回 session_id 时,用对应 write_stdin 收集,直到取得退出码。
