objection-library-builder

objection-library-builder is a skill for Codex from nthnclrk/enablement-skills. It costs 87 tokens per session (704 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A structured collection of ways to understand and answer buyer objections, such as concerns about price, timing, or competitors.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create reusable objection cards for particular customer groups, sales stages, roles, or competitors, including questions to diagnose the concern and rules for escalating it.
Why use it?
It prevents sellers from replying before they know what a buyer really means. It also keeps responses tied to documented evidence and approved claims.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00087 $0.00704
Opus 5 $0.00044 $0.00352
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00141
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00070

Security

Grade A, and why

objection-library-builder scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Objection library builder

An objection library is a diagnose-then-respond system, not a list of rebuttals.

If the seller answers before they know what the objection is actually about, the card failed.

Diagnose. Buyer: "It's too expensive." Seller: "Compared with what: the cost of staying on the spreadsheet, or a number you already have in a budget line?"

Rebut. "I understand. Other customers felt that way and then saw 3x ROI in the first year."

If raw calls still need coding, stop and use call-insights-to-objections first.

Confirm Inputs First

Ask only for what changes the cards:

  1. Segment, persona, and stage scope
  2. Qualified objection evidence, not anecdotes treated as frequency
  3. Approved proof and policy limits
  4. Who owns the library and what event forces a review

Do not invent wording, counts, proof, or approval status.

Read The Right Reference

Read references/objection-library-framework.md for priority rules, the response path, and card fields. Skip it if you are only tightening existing cards.

Default Workflow

  1. Keep the evidence. Verbatim wording or a labeled paraphrase. Source, date, persona, stage. Anonymize names you do not need.
  2. Label without overwriting. Short name and a root-cause guess, kept separate from what the buyer said.
  3. Cluster by concern, persona, stage, and competitor.
  4. Prioritize by deal impact, then prevalence. A rare blocker stays visible. Repeated mentions from one account are not market frequency.
  5. Write the path. Acknowledge, diagnose, answer, prove, confirm the next step. One or two diagnostic questions per card.
  6. Attach proof with owner, approved wording, and last-verified date. No source, no spoken proof.
  7. Write do-not-say lines and escalation owners (legal, security, pricing, implementation).
  8. Version the card. Owner, status, review trigger. Retire the old one. Do not leave two actives.

For positioning use value-prop-and-positioning. For compete counters use battlecard-builder. For practice use roleplay-scenario-builder.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
