What is nsys_profile?

A GPU performance-profiling workflow using NVIDIA Nsight Systems, a tool that records CPU, GPU, and communication activity over time.

It helps profile training or inference launched with torchrun, using generated test inputs or a real checkpoint and CUDA or NVTX tracing.

It provides a trace of a context-parallel run so slow operations and synchronization can be investigated with timing evidence.
