develop-with-singapore-mcp

develop-with-singapore-mcp is a skill for Claude Code from olano-ai/mcp-singapore. It costs 55 tokens per session (355 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A development guide and tool integration for the Olano Singapore MCP server, which provides structured access to Singapore public and property data. MCP is a standard way for an AI agent to call external tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to build clients that query Singapore transport, housing, property, business, economic, civic, or finance data. It also covers HDB resale searches and statistics, tool discovery, and debugging.
Why use it?
It explains how to choose the right data tools, configure connections and credentials, and diagnose failed calls without mixing up data sources or exposing secrets.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00055 $0.00355
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.00178
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00071
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00036

Measured 12d ago against content hash 50dfd54549f5, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-12, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

develop-with-singapore-mcp scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Develop with Singapore MCP

  1. Choose the smallest server profile: all, mobility, property, business, economy, civic, or finance. Use singapore_tool_profiles to inspect the active contract.
  2. Start stdio with npx -y @olano/mcp-singapore --profile <name>. For local exploration, use npx @olano/sg-cli list, search, examples, prompts, profile, or tool.
  3. Add only required secrets: DATA_GOV_SG_API_KEY, ONEMAP_TOKEN, and LTA_DATAMALL_API_KEY. Never commit credentials or silently replace a credentialed source with a different provider.
  4. Discover a tool, inspect its input schema, then send exact JSON arguments. Prefer a domain-specific filtered or aggregate tool over generic dataset downloads.
  5. For HDB filtered rows or statistics, use hdb_resale_stats; use hdb_resale_search for explicit raw pagination. Respect returned completeness, truncation, freshness, and source fields.
  6. When debugging, capture the client, transport, package version, profile, tool name, sanitized arguments, structured error, and server stderr. Do not put protocol output on stdio stdout.

Use Streamable HTTP when a shared deployment is required and apply authentication, rate limits, and network controls appropriate to that deployment.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
