research-singapore

research-singapore is a skill for Claude Code from olano-ai/mcp-singapore. It costs 59 tokens per session (247 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A research workflow for Singapore data from public sources, covering places, transport, businesses, the economy, population, weather, health, education, tourism, property, and public services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to look up Singapore locations, services, mobility, public statistics, or other time-sensitive data and compare compatible periods or measures.
Why use it?
It helps produce answers tied to a source agency, dataset, time period, and measurement instead of mixing incompatible or outdated figures. It also records limitations and avoids treating correlation as proof of cause.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00059 $0.00247
Opus 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00099
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00049
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00025

Measured 2mo ago against content hash 57173caf9ac2, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

research-singapore scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Research Singapore

Use the Olano Singapore MCP tools to produce evidence-backed answers from authoritative public data. Treat the suite as an independent community project, not a government-endorsed service.

Workflow

  1. Define the place, entity, period, and comparison. Ask only when ambiguity materially changes the answer.
  2. Call singapore_catalog_list when tool selection is unclear, then route to the relevant namespace.
  3. Call matching *_metadata or *_freshness tools before relying on unfamiliar or time-sensitive datasets.
  4. Retrieve the smallest useful sample. Preserve fields and units.
  5. Use analytics_* only after aligning periods and units. Never turn correlation into causation.
  6. State the observation period, source agency, identifier, and limitations.

Never call these “official Singapore MCPs.” Attribute government data to its source agency. Keep finance outputs factual and educational.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
