financial-valuation

financial-valuation is a skill for Claude Code from ololand-ai/ololand-plugins. It costs 36 tokens per session (1,144 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A governed toolkit for financial valuation, including DCF, leveraged buyout (LBO), comparable-transaction analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations. An LBO models buying a company with borrowed money, while Monte Carlo tests many possible outcomes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Building DCF and LBO models, analyzing comparable deals, testing uncertainty, and calculating returns such as IRR and MOIC.
Why use it?
It keeps financial calculations consistent and separate from numbers improvised in ordinary written responses.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00036 $0.01144
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00572
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00229
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00114

Security

Grade A, and why

financial-valuation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Financial Valuation Methodology

Deterministic Engines (Not LLM-Generated)

OloLand uses validated computation engines for all financial models. Never generate financial model outputs as prose — use MCP tools.

DCF (Discounted Cash Flow)

  • Tool: get_dcf_valuation(deal_id)
  • Engine: EBITDA → Free Cash Flow projection (5-10 years) → Terminal value (perpetuity growth) → WACC discount
  • WACC: CAPM-calculated (risk-free rate + beta * equity risk premium + size premium)
  • Sensitivity: Revenue growth rate vs EBITDA margin vs terminal growth rate
  • Unit system: StrictFinancialValue — ACTUAL dollars in storage, MILLIONS in calculation, Smart B/M/K in display

LBO (Leveraged Buyout)

  • Multi-tranche debt: Senior, Mezzanine, Subordinated, Revolver
  • Cash sweep ordering: Revenue → Operations → Debt repayment → Equity
  • PIK (Payment-in-Kind) toggle per tranche
  • Leverage covenants: Total leverage ratio, interest coverage ratio
  • Returns: IRR and MOIC at exit under multiple scenarios

Monte Carlo Simulation

  • Tool: run_monte_carlo_simulation(deal_id, n_simulations, seed)
  • Execution boundary: This tool creates and persists a new simulation. Authority must come from exactly one of these contexts:
    1. A direct /valuation <deal_id> run monte-carlo, /valuation <deal_id> refresh monte-carlo, /valuation <deal_id> run all, or /valuation <deal_id> refresh all call.
    2. The user's explicit invocation of, or unambiguous request to run, a named fixed-purpose workflow whose visible contract declares one Monte Carlo run, currently the public branch only of /pre-screen, /ic-memo-skeptical, or DD Analyst Full DD mode. That invocation authorizes only the single call, deal, and parameters declared by that workflow; it does not require a second /valuation run phrase. The private /pre-screen branch authorizes no valuation engine and must remain signal-only until a dedicated governed private-company tool exists.
  • Auto-loading this skill, routing to an agent, a generic diligence/memo question, a background task, a prior run, or merely recommending Monte Carlo grants no authority. A failed authorized call also grants no automatic retry. When neither context applies, do not call the tool; report that there is no governed Monte Carlo read endpoint.
  • Vectorized stochastic engine (not loop-bound)
  • Distribution support: Normal, LogNormal, Triangular
  • Gaussian copula for correlated variables
  • Output: Full EV/equity distribution + P5/P25/P50/P75/P95 + VaR/CVaR

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
