What is share-server-control?

A controller for a local server that lets you share work with viewers. It can inspect health, start or stop the server, restart it, and manage private viewing through Tailscale, a private networking service.

Use it to check status, start, stop, or restart the server, and enable or disable private Tailscale viewer access.

It provides one place to manage the server after setup without repeating the initial installation process or exposing administrative access publicly.

Notes

In v1, lifecycle control assumes the reference server was installed as a macOS LaunchAgent.
If the user has not set up the server yet, stop and use share-server-setup first.
status.sh is the safest first command because it shows LaunchAgent state, health, and Tailscale Serve status together.
