What is planning-with-files?

A file-based planning method for coding tasks that are larger than a quick change. It keeps the plan in a Markdown file so it remains available after a session restart or context reduction.

Use it to create and maintain plans for multi-file changes, larger implementations, and other non-trivial coding tasks.

It prevents the agent from losing the task plan during long work or after the conversation is shortened. It is intended for changes involving more than 20 lines or more than one file.
