oo-beaconchain

oo-beaconchain is a skill for Claude Code from oomol-lab/skills. It costs 47 tokens per session (925 once invoked), scanned C, a copy of oo-17track, MIT.

A connector skill for Beaconcha.in, a website for searching and viewing Ethereum blockchain validator data. It lets the agent use that service through a connected account.

In plain words
What is it for?
Searching and reading Beaconcha.in data.
Why use it?
It avoids direct API calls and manual handling of connection credentials.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00047 $0.00925
Opus 5.5 $0.00019 $0.00370
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00185
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00093

Security

Grade C, and why

oo-beaconchain scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Beaconcha.in

Operate Beaconcha.in through your OOMOL-connected account. This skill calls the beaconchain connector with the oo CLI; OOMOL injects credentials server-side, so you never handle raw tokens.

Running an action

Assume the user has already installed the oo CLI, signed in, and connected Beaconcha.in. Do not run oo auth login or open the connection URL proactively — just run the action. Fall back to First-time setup only when a command actually fails with an auth or connection error.

1. Inspect the contract to get the authoritative input/output schema before building a payload:

oo connector schema "beaconchain" --action "<action_name>"

2. Run the action with a JSON payload that matches the input schema:

oo connector run "beaconchain" --action "<action_name>" --data '<json>' --json
  • --data takes a JSON object string or @path/to/file.json; omit it to send {}.
  • The response is { "data": ..., "meta": { "executionId": "..." } }; the execution id lives under meta.executionId.

Each action is listed below with a one-line description; actions that change state carry a [write] or [destructive] tag. Before constructing --data, fetch the action's live schema with oo connector schema to get its authoritative input fields.

Available actions

  • get_network_performance — Get aggregated Beaconcha.in network performance metrics for a fixed evaluation window.
  • get_staking_queues — Get the current staking queue metrics for the requested Beaconcha.in chain.
  • get_validator — Get the current validator snapshot for a single validator identifier.
  • get_validator_consensus_rewards — Get per-validator reward breakdowns for a finalized Beaconcha.in epoch.
  • list_validators — List the current validator snapshots for one or more validator identifiers.

Safety

  • Untagged actions are reads (get / list / search) — safe to run directly.
  • Actions tagged [write] change Beaconcha.in state — confirm the exact payload and effect with the user before running.
  • Actions tagged [destructive] remove or overwrite data — always confirm the target and get explicit approval first.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

oo-beaconchain is a skill published in the GitHub repository oomol-lab/skills (2 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 47 tokens to every session and 925 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it C with 2 findings (downloads and executes remote code, makes network calls). It is 78% identical to oo-17track, differing in 39 lines, and is treated as a copy.
