solid-syntax-jsx

solid-syntax-jsx is a skill for Claude Code from OpenAEC-Foundation/OpenAEC-Workspace-Composer. It costs 102 tokens per session (2,685 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

JSX rendering guidance for SolidJS, covering conditions, lists, dynamic components, portals, and loading states. JSX is the HTML-like syntax used to describe an interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when rendering conditional content, lists, asynchronous data, dynamic elements, or content outside the normal page structure.
Why use it?
It helps avoid React-style rendering patterns that do not fit SolidJS's direct DOM updates and can lead to less suitable or incorrect code.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00102 $0.02685
Opus 5 $0.00051 $0.01342
Sonnet 5 $0.00020 $0.00537
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00268

Security

Grade A, and why

solid-syntax-jsx scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Quick Reference

JSX Compilation Model

SolidJS compiles JSX to direct DOM creation calls -- there is NO virtual DOM. Components execute once during initialization. Dynamic expressions in {} are automatically wrapped in reactive effects that perform surgical DOM updates.

React: JSX → createElement() → Virtual DOM → Diff → DOM patches
SolidJS: JSX → Compiled DOM creation → Direct DOM nodes + reactive effects

Control Flow Component Quick Reference

Component Import Purpose Key Props
<Show> solid-js Conditional rendering when, fallback, keyed
<For> solid-js List rendering (objects) each, fallback
<Index> solid-js List rendering (primitives) each, fallback
<Switch>/<Match> solid-js Multi-branch conditionals fallback / when
<Dynamic> solid-js/web Dynamic component/element component
<Portal> solid-js/web Render outside DOM tree mount, useShadow, isSVG
<Suspense> solid-js Async resource loading fallback

Namespaced Attribute Prefixes

Prefix Purpose Example
attr: Force HTML attribute (vs property) <div attr:data-id={id} />
prop: Set DOM property directly <input prop:value={val} />
class: Toggle individual CSS class <div class:active={isActive()} />
on: Native event listener (non-delegated) <div on:scroll={handler} />
use: Custom directive <div use:myDirective={value} />
bool: Boolean HTML attribute <div bool:disabled={isDisabled()} />
@once One-time binding (no reactivity) <div textContent={@once val} />

For vs Index Decision Table

Scenario Use Why
Array of objects, items reorder <For> Keyed by reference -- DOM nodes move with items
Array of primitives (strings, numbers) <Index> Keyed by index -- values update in place
Form inputs where position matters <Index> Stable index means stable DOM position
List where items are added/removed/moved <For> Reference tracking avoids recreation

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
