vite-syntax-assets

vite-syntax-assets is a skill for Claude Code from OpenAEC-Foundation/OpenAEC-Workspace-Composer. It costs 119 tokens per session (2,566 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for importing static assets and configuring special Vite asset behavior. Static assets are files such as images, SVGs, text, Web Workers, or WebAssembly modules used by a web app.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when loading assets as URLs or text, importing workers or WebAssembly, or deciding whether files belong in the public directory.
Why use it?
It helps prevent broken asset URLs, incorrect import suffixes, and development-versus-production path problems.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00119 $0.02566
Opus 5 $0.00060 $0.01283
Sonnet 5 $0.00024 $0.00513
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00257

Security

Grade A, and why

vite-syntax-assets scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Quick Reference

Asset Import Behavior

Environment Import Result Example
Development Unbundled path from root /src/img.png
Production Hashed path in assets dir /assets/img.2d8efhg.png
import imgUrl from './img.png'
document.getElementById('hero-img').src = imgUrl

Assets smaller than assetsInlineLimit (default: 4096 bytes / 4 KiB) are inlined as base64 data URLs. Git LFS placeholders are ALWAYS excluded from inlining.

Query Suffixes Table

Suffix Result Use Case
?url Resolved URL string Assets not auto-detected as static
?raw File content as string Shaders, text files, SVGs as markup
?inline Force base64 inlining Small assets you ALWAYS want inlined
?no-inline Force separate file SVGs or small assets you NEVER want inlined
?worker Web Worker constructor Import JS as dedicated worker
?sharedworker SharedWorker constructor Import JS as shared worker
?worker&inline Inlined worker (base64) Workers without separate file
?worker&url Worker URL only When you need the URL, not the constructor
?init WASM init function WebAssembly module import

Critical Warnings

NEVER use variables or expressions in import.meta.glob arguments -- ALWAYS use string literals. Vite performs static analysis at build time and cannot evaluate runtime values.

NEVER rely on new URL(path, import.meta.url) in SSR code -- import.meta.url has different semantics in browsers vs Node.js. This pattern is client-only.

NEVER import public directory assets with import statements -- reference them as absolute URL paths (/icon.png). Public assets are copied as-is without processing.

ALWAYS use static strings in new URL() patterns -- dynamic expressions prevent Vite from analyzing and transforming the import at build time.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

vite-syntax-assets is a skill published in the GitHub repository OpenAEC-Foundation/OpenAEC-Workspace-Composer (5 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 119 tokens to every session and 2,566 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
