gogcli: Skill for Codex

.agents/skills/gog-maps/SKILL.md

gog-maps is a skill for Codex from openclaw/gogcli. It costs 11 tokens per session (297 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command-line tool for using Google Maps services, including places, addresses, coordinates, directions, and travel times.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps geocode addresses, find places, reverse-geocode coordinates, and calculate routes, distances, and durations.
Why use it?
It removes the need to look up locations and routes manually when an application or workflow needs geographic information.

Skill for Codex

Written for Codex: agents/openai.yaml present. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is openclaw/gogcli's own configuration. It tells Codex how to work on gogcli itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything gogcli configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00011 $0.00297
Opus 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00119
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00002 $0.00059
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

gog-maps scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Google Maps

Use gog for Google Maps operations. Read ../gog/SKILL.md first for shared auth, output, safety, and live-write rules.

Safe start

gog auth list --check --json --no-input
gog schema maps --json
gog --readonly --account [email protected] maps --help
  • Select the account explicitly with --account.
  • Use --json --wrap-untrusted for agent-readable Google content.
  • Use --readonly when the task must not mutate Google data.
  • Use --no-input in automation and --dry-run before supported writes.
  • Confirm the exact account, object, and mutation before any write or delete.

Commands

Command Purpose
directions Get directions between two locations
distance Get travel distance and duration matrix
geocode Convert an address to coordinates
places Google Maps Places API
reverse-geocode Convert coordinates to an address

Run gog maps <command> --help for flags and gog schema maps <command> --json for the machine-readable contract. Do not guess command syntax.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
