saleor-apps

saleor-apps is a skill for Claude Code from OrcaQubits/agentic-commerce-skills-plugins. It costs 45 tokens per session (1,691 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A coding guide for building Saleor Apps, which are separate web applications that extend an online store through its GraphQL API and webhooks. It covers app registration, permissions, authentication, lifecycle handling, and dashboard interfaces.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create app manifests, exchange tokens, handle events, add dashboard extensions, and build apps with the Saleor SDK and App Bridge.
Why use it?
It explains how an extension communicates with Saleor and how it is installed and authorized, avoiding confusion between an independent app and code built into the main platform.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00045 $0.01691
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00846
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00338
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00169

Measured 2d ago against content hash 6e590df14e30, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-16, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

saleor-apps scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

App Architecture

Saleor Apps are standalone web applications that extend Saleor functionality. They are not monolithic plugins embedded in the core -- each App is an independent service that communicates with Saleor via GraphQL and webhooks.

Aspect Detail
Deployment Standalone web app (any host)
Communication GraphQL API + webhooks
Framework Any (official template uses Next.js)
Registration Installed via manifest URL
Authentication App token issued during installation
Dashboard UI Rendered in an iframe via App Bridge

Legacy Plugins Deprecation

Saleor's legacy plugin system (Python classes in saleor/plugins/) is deprecated. All new extensions should be built as Apps. Legacy plugins will be removed in a future major version.

App Manifest

The manifest is a JSON document served at a public URL that describes the App:

Field Type Purpose
id string Unique identifier for the App
version string Semantic version
name string Display name
about string Short description
permissions string[] Required Saleor permissions
appUrl string Main App URL (loaded in Dashboard iframe)
configurationUrl string App settings page URL
tokenTargetUrl string URL that receives the auth token during install
dataPrivacyUrl string Privacy policy URL
homepageUrl string App homepage URL
supportUrl string Support contact URL
webhooks object[] Webhook subscriptions
extensions object[] Dashboard mounting points

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
