atomic-commit-and-push

atomic-commit-and-push is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from OutlineDriven/odin-gemini-cli-extension. It costs 111 tokens per session (267 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of atomic-commit-and-push, Apache-2.0.

A workflow for splitting current code changes into separate logical commits and publishing them to the remote repository.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps review changes, create focused Git commits, run the project’s checks, and push the resulting work.
Why use it?
It prevents unrelated edits from being bundled together and adds checks before changes are shared.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00111 $0.00267
Opus 5 $0.00056 $0.00133
Sonnet 5 $0.00022 $0.00053
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00027

Measured 4d ago against content hash 46052a4fd02e, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

atomic-commit-and-push scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Origin

This is a copy

What it actually says

Atomic Commit and Push

Phase 1 — Atomic commit

Review staged + unstaged changes. Group by mechanism/file boundary. Create one commit per logical change. Run repo-native type-checker and linter before each commit. Do NOT bundle unrelated changes.

Phase 2 — Publish

Prefer git submit when git-branchless is installed and the forge is supported. Fallback: pick a descriptive branch name, then git push origin HEAD:refs/heads/<branch>. Set upstream only when the user explicitly wants tracking. Never --force or --force-with-lease without explicit user authorization. Never push directly to protected branches (e.g., main, master, release/*).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
