culture-manager-coaching

culture-manager-coaching is a skill for Codex from OutlineDriven/outline-driven-development. It costs 37 tokens per session (1,985 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A manager's coaching guide based on the Culture Index profiles of the manager and a direct report. It translates differences in work-style traits into communication, meeting, motivation, and energy guidance.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan one-on-ones, adjust communication and cadence, identify motivators, and respond to trait gaps and energy risks.
Why use it?
It helps managers adapt their approach to the individual instead of relying on generic advice. It also identifies energy concerns and behaviours to watch or avoid.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00037 $0.01985
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00992
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00397
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00198

Security

Grade A, and why

culture-manager-coaching scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Culture manager coaching

Contract

Field Bound contract
Trigger A manager needs profile-specific communication, one-on-one, motivation, and energy guidance for a direct report.
Authority Read-only. No file, VCS, credential, paid, published, deployed, or remote mutation. All output is chat text.
Side effect Chat output only: a trait-gap map, communication adjustments, one-on-one design, motivators, energy concerns, watch areas, and avoidances.
Done Major trait gaps have concrete manager adjustments, cadence and format are tailored, and energy risks are addressed.

Inputs

Required:

  • Manager Culture Index profile: archetype/pattern and, for each trait, the position relative to that profile's red arrow (the population mean). For A, B, C, D supply the relative (dot-minus-arrow) value, not the raw 0-10 score. For L (Logic) and I (Ingenuity) supply the absolute value, since only those two compare directly between people.
  • Direct report Culture Index profile: same fields as the manager.
  • Energy Units (EU) for both people: Survey EU and Job EU, when both graphs are available.

Optional:

  • Names and dates for the compiled guide.
  • Known role context for the direct report.

If a profile is missing the arrow position, stop and request it. Never substitute a raw absolute trait value for a relative one, and never visually estimate trait values.

Procedure

  1. Load both profiles. Record each person's archetype and each trait's position relative to their own arrow. State positions as distance-from-arrow (e.g. "+3 centiles", "on arrow", "opposite side"), never as bare raw scores. L and I are the exception: use their absolute values. Done when: both profiles are recorded with archetype and per-trait distance-from-arrow.

  2. Calculate trait gaps. For A, B, C, D, compute the gap between manager and direct report and assign friction risk:

    • Same side of arrow, similar distance: Low friction.
    • Same side of arrow, different distance: Medium friction.
    • Opposite sides of arrow: High friction potential.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
