outsystems-app-architecture

outsystems-app-architecture is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from OutSystems/outsystems-mcp. It costs 199 tokens per session (8,582 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A generated HTML map of one OutSystems app's internal structure, including screens, actions, data, roles, libraries, and model connections. It also shows deployment and recent revision information.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to explore app architecture, filter components by category, and inspect attributes, signatures, or input parameters.
Why use it?
It gives you a visual way to inspect how an app's parts connect instead of reading those relationships separately.

Runs only inside its plugin — its command needs a path that Claude Code sets for a plugin’s own hooks and for nothing else. Install the plugin, not this.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00199 $0.08582
Opus 5.5 $0.00080 $0.03433
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00040 $0.01716
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00858

Security

Grade A, and why

outsystems-app-architecture scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/build.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

OutSystems App Architecture

Produces a single HTML file with a force-directed graph of one app's internal structure: UI flows → screens, action groups → server, client and service actions, data layer (entities / enums / structures, with entity → entity reference edges), security (roles), and dependencies — AI model connections and referenced libraries. OutSystems dark theme, filter-by-category sidebar, click a node for its attributes, signature or input parameters. The sidebar also shows where the app is deployed and its recent revisions.

The app data is inlined in the file. The graph library (vis-network 9.1.9, pinned with a Subresource Integrity hash) and the fonts load from CDNs: without network access, or if the CDN serves anything but the pinned file, the page shows a plain HTML listing of the same data instead of the graph.

Prerequisites

  • The OutSystems MCP server is connected and signed in. This skill reads the tools named below; tool names here are the server's own, and your harness may show them with a prefix (in Claude Code, mcp__plugin_outsystems_outsystems__app_info for app_info).
  • A shell with python3 (3.8 or later, standard library only). The script reads the saved tool results from disk and writes the HTML; it never calls the server and holds no sign-in of its own.
  • <skill-folder> below is this skill's own folder: the one holding this file (in the OutSystems plugin, skills/outsystems-app-architecture/), so <skill-folder>/scripts/build.py is the script next to it. Values in angle brackets are placeholders you substitute; quote every path, since a home folder can contain spaces.
  • Run every build.py command on its own and exactly as this file writes it: the skill's permissions match python3 "<skill-folder>/scripts/build.py" ... and nothing else, so an added redirect (2>&1), pipe or chained command (;, &&) makes the harness stop and ask the user.
  • No shell available? Stop and tell the user this skill needs one (for example Claude Code, not Claude Desktop's Chat tab); don't try to build the page by hand.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

outsystems-app-architecture is a skill published in the GitHub repository OutSystems/outsystems-mcp (40 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 199 tokens to every session and 8,582 once invoked, about $0.0008 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-07.
