comedy-style-skill-generator

comedy-style-skill-generator is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from pantheon-org/tekhne. It costs 164 tokens per session (4,561 once invoked), scanned B, original, MIT.

A guide generator that turns a requested comedic tradition into a reusable writing guide. It describes the underlying ways the comedy builds premises, escalation, rhythm, and rhetorical effects.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a SKILL.md guide for an existing, generic, or invented comedic tradition. It is for documenting how a style works, not for writing the final comedy piece.
Why use it?
It replaces vague instructions about a style with concrete rules that can guide future writing. This makes the result reusable beyond one joke or sketch.

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Security

Grade B, and why

comedy-style-skill-generator scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Strips warnings and disclaimersmediumAnti-refusal

Omitting safety caveats hides risk from the user and is a common jailbreak preamble.

Comedy Style Skill Generator

Mindset

A comedic tradition is a bundle of transferable mechanics — premise construction, escalation, rhythm, rhetorical devices — not a voice to be copied. Extracting the mechanics and writing them as concrete rules produces a skill someone can reuse indefinitely; copying a voice produces one derivative artifact and stops there. If you remember one thing: write down the machine, not the performance.

When to Use

  • The user asks to "create a comedy skill for [style]", "make a skill like [comedian/show]", or "turn this comedic tradition into a reusable skill".
  • The requested tradition can be named as a genre, movement, show, or performer (living, deceased, or fictional) whose material has a recognisable comic structure to analyse.
  • The user wants a complete, standalone SKILL.md file as the deliverable, not a single joke, sketch, or routine.
  • The requested tradition is invented or generic (e.g. "a deadpan corporate-memo satirist") — the same analysis-to-instructions process applies regardless of whether the style already exists.

When NOT to Use

  • The user wants a piece of comedy written right now (a joke, sketch, routine) rather than a reusable skill that generates such material — write the comedy directly instead of building a skill for it.
  • The user's request isn't comedy-related at all.
  • The intended output is a skill whose entire body would be an adjective ("just make it funny", "make it absurd") with no underlying mechanics to extract — decline and ask what makes the requested material funny, or point out that this generator needs a comic structure to analyse, not a mood.

Prerequisites

Before starting the analysis, the request MUST name a specific comedic tradition, performer, show, or invented style — not just a target platform, audience, or vague tone — and MUST include enough to analyse (a genre label, an example bit, a format description). If the request is too thin (e.g. just "make something like a podcast"), ask a clarifying question rather than guessing at mechanics that were never described.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
