agent-orchestration

agent-orchestration is a skill for Claude Code from parcadei/Continuous-Claude-v3. It costs 10 tokens per session (390 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Guidance for using separate implementation agents when a coding task involves several files or needs its own tests.

In plain words
What is it for?
Delegating multi-file features, planned implementation phases, and changes that require testing.
Why use it?
It keeps the main agent's context focused by having another agent inspect the code, make the changes, and verify them.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00010 $0.00390
Opus 5 $0.00005 $0.00195
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00039

Security

Grade A, and why

agent-orchestration scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent Orchestration Rules

When the user asks to implement something, use implementation agents to preserve main context.

The Pattern

Wrong - burns context:

Main: Read files → Understand → Make edits → Report
(2000+ tokens consumed in main context)

Right - preserves context:

Main: Spawn agent("implement X per plan")
      ↓
Agent: Reads files → Understands → Edits → Tests
      ↓
Main: Gets summary (~200 tokens)

When to Use Agents

Task Type Use Agent? Reason
Multi-file implementation Yes Agent handles complexity internally
Following a plan phase Yes Agent reads plan, implements
New feature with tests Yes Agent can run tests
Single-line fix No Faster to do directly
Quick config change No Overhead not worth it

Key Insight

Agents read their own context. Don't read files in main chat just to understand what to pass to an agent - give them the task and they figure it out.

Example Prompt

Implement Phase 4: Outcome Marking Hook from the Artifact Index plan.

**Plan location:** thoughts/shared/plans/2025-12-24-artifact-index.md (search for "Phase 4")

**What to create:**
1. TypeScript hook
2. Shell wrapper
3. Python script
4. Register in settings.json

When done, provide a summary of files created and any issues.

Trigger Words

When user says these, consider using an agent:

  • "implement", "build", "create feature"
  • "follow the plan", "do phase X"
  • "use implementation agents"
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
