What is ux-accessibility?

An accessibility audit checklist for web and mobile interfaces. Accessibility means making software usable by people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers or cannot rely on precise movement.

Use it to review screens for screen-reader labels, readable contrast, usable controls, logical focus order, reduced-motion support, and inclusive interaction.

It helps catch barriers involving contrast, touch targets, keyboard focus, motion, and assistive technology. The checklist is based on WCAG 2.2, a widely used accessibility standard.

Accessibility is not a checklist to finish — it is a quality bar that benefits every user. Good contrast helps users in sunlight. Large touch targets help users on a moving bus. Clear labels help distracted users. Build for the edges and the center benefits too.

Focus management	WCAG 2.4.3 (A)	Tab and D-pad focus order is logical. Focus moves to new content after navigation.

Color blindness safe	WCAG 1.4.1 (A)	Color is never the only differentiator. Pair with icons, shapes, or labels.
Reduce motion	WCAG 2.3.3 (AAA)	Check OS reduce-motion setting. Simplify or disable decorative animations. AAA formally, but a platform expectation on iOS and Android.
Adjustable text size	Platform	Supports Dynamic Type (iOS) and sp units (Android). Tested at 200% size.
