nfl-analytics: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/new-page/SKILL.md

new-page is a skill for Claude Code from parthakker/nfl-analytics. It costs 37 tokens per session (329 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only checker for an NFL analytics warehouse—a database containing prepared football data—that tests data rules and investigates suspicious results without changing files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after a data refresh, when a query looks wrong, or when staleness is suspected; it runs tests, checks selected values and counts, and reports pass or fail results.
Why use it?
It helps distinguish stale, incomplete, or incorrectly queried data from a problem in the warehouse-building code.

This is parthakker/nfl-analytics's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on nfl-analytics itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything nfl-analytics configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00037 $0.00329
Opus 5 $0.00018 $0.00164
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00066
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00033

Measured 8d ago against content hash 62c121bd9178, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

new-page scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

New Jarvis page checklist

Build in this order — each step has a convention doc:

  1. Router web/api/routers/<name>.py — bare APIRouter, full /api/... paths, read_conn + rows_to_dicts; register in BOTH places in web/api/main.py (import tuple + for-loop). Rules: .claude/rules/api.md.
  2. Types/client — shared endpoint → web/ui/src/lib/api.ts; single-page → local interface + fetch.
  3. Page web/ui/src/pages/<Name>.tsxPanel grid, h1 + muted subcaption, theme vars. Route in App.tsx; top-level tabs go in the NAV tuple in Shell.tsx, secondary pages in MORE. Rules: .claude/rules/frontend.md.
  4. Verification (all four, not optional):
    • smoke CHECK in scripts/smoke_test.py (fixture-compatible predicate)
    • tests/api case (shape + 404)
    • Playwright spec in web/ui/e2e/
    • cd web/ui && npm run build green
  5. If the page needs a new view/table: run /new-view first.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
