loomkin: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/vault-checkin/SKILL.md

vault-checkin is a skill for Claude Code from pass-agent/loomkin. It costs 21 tokens per session (358 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A daily work-log tool that records completed work, blockers, and notes, then connects those items to a task board.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create or update a daily check-in, search for matching tasks, mark confirmed work complete, refresh the activity dashboard, and report the results.
Why use it?
It keeps daily progress synchronized with tasks instead of leaving check-ins and task status in separate places.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00021 $0.00358
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.00179
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

vault-checkin scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Log what the user worked on today.

Identify Who

Look for indicators: "@brett", "@brandon", name mentions, or context clues. If unclear, use ask_user to confirm.

Parse Input

Extract:

  • Work items: Things accomplished or worked on
  • Blockers: Anything preventing progress (optional)
  • Notes: Additional context or thoughts (optional)

Create Check-in

vault_create_entry(entry_type: "checkin", entry_date: "{today}", author: "{person}", ...)

Content should include work items as a bulleted list, blockers section, and notes section.

If a checkin already exists for this person today, use vault_update_entry to append.

Match to Kanban

For each work item that sounds like a completion:

  1. vault_kanban(action: "search", search_term: "{work_item}") to find matching tasks
  2. If a match has high confidence (similarity > 0.5), offer to mark complete
  3. If uncertain, use ask_user: "Is '{work item}' the same as '{kanban task}'?"
  4. Complete confirmed matches: vault_kanban(action: "complete", task_id: "...")

Refresh

vault_dashboard(dashboard_type: "activity") to update the dashboard.

Report: checkin file created, work items recorded, kanban matches found/completed.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

vault-checkin is a skill published in the GitHub repository pass-agent/loomkin (179 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 21 tokens to every session and 358 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
