Paid-Media-MCP: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/google-ads/SKILL.md

google-ads is a skill for Claude Code from Pauesome/Paid-Media-MCP. It costs 92 tokens per session (685 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for auditing Google Ads accounts for Spanish clients using campaign, keyword, search-term, and impression-share data. It checks tracking, wasted spending, campaign structure, bidding, and related areas against the project’s benchmarks and compliance references.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review Google Ads performance, find wasted spend, assess conversion tracking and campaign quality, and identify campaigns or keywords to stop or scale.
Why use it?
It gathers the required account data and applies defined thresholds, so performance decisions are based on the project’s rules instead of invented benchmarks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00092 $0.00685
Opus 5 $0.00046 $0.00342
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00137
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00068

Security

Grade A, and why

google-ads scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 72 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Entry point for any Google Ads request. Delegates the deep audit to the audit-google agent; this skill resolves inputs, pulls a quick snapshot, and routes.

All thresholds come from .claude/references/benchmarks-spain.md. Never invent benchmarks — cite the reference files.

Required Inputs

  • client_id — resolve via list_clients. If the user names a client by label, match it; if ambiguous, pick the best guess and flag it.
  • date_range_start / date_range_end (ISO) — default last 14 days; minimum 14 for kill/scale signals.
  • Fail fast with a clear error block on missing input — do not prompt in a loop.

Data Collection (parallel MCP calls)

  • get_google_ads_campaign_performance
  • get_google_ads_search_terms (zero_conversions_only=true, min_spend=10)
  • get_google_ads_keywords
  • get_google_ads_impression_share
  • get_google_ads_hourly_performance (optional — dayparting waste)

Routing

  • Quick question (single metric, one campaign): answer inline from the pulled data. No report file.
  • Full audit ("audit", "review everything", "score my account"): launch the audit-google agent with client_id + date range. It writes the scored report and returns the path.

Hard Rules (mirror audit-google)

  • Wasted-spend flag requires spend ≥ €10 AND conversions = 0
  • Dedup keywords by (ad_group_id, keyword_text, match_type) before analysis
  • Only analyse ENABLED campaigns and ad groups
  • Flag any campaign on ECPC as FAIL (deprecated March 2025)
  • Never recommend Broad Match without confirming Smart Bidding is active
  • Never recommend BROAD-match negatives — use Exact [término] or Phrase "término"
  • Weight ROAS / CPA above CTR / CVR when metrics disagree

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

google-ads is a skill published in the GitHub repository Pauesome/Paid-Media-MCP (1 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 92 tokens to every session and 685 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
