hotpath-rs is a Rust profiler that measures where programs spend time, use CPU and memory, wait on I/O, and perform database, HTTP, or asynchronous operations. Rust developers use it to locate performance bottlenecks and inspect timing, allocation, and async-flow data.
Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00095 | $0.02541 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00038 | $0.01016 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00019 | $0.00508 |

Grade B, and why
hotpath_init_ci_forks scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Sends data to an external URLmediumData exfiltration
A POST to an outside endpoint may be telemetry or may be exfiltration; either way the mod talks to somewhere, and you should know where.
| curl -sS -X POST https://hotpath.rs/api/v1/policy/validate -H 'Content-Type: application/json' --data-binary @- Makes network callslowCapability
Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.
curl -sL -H 'Accept: text/markdown' https://hotpath.rs/ci_integration How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 129 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Initialize hotpath Cloud CI for pull requests from forks
Set up hotpath Cloud in the current Rust project, covering pull requests from forks. A GitHub Actions job runs a benchmark with hotpath profiling enabled. hotpath.rs compares each pull request's report with the default branch's, judges the difference under the repository's policy file and posts a comment on the pull request.
A job triggered by a fork's pull request cannot upload, so the pull request job stores the report as an artifact and a relay workflow uploads it from a job that never checks out or runs code from the pull request. "Pull requests from forks" in the docs explains the design.
This setup also covers pull requests from branches of the same repository. For a private repository, or one that does not need fork pull requests benchmarked, the simpler hotpath_init_ci skill is enough (hotpath init-ci without --forks).
Documentation
The hotpath docs are the reference for both workflow files, every environment variable and every policy key; this skill only holds the procedure. Every page of https://hotpath.rs is served as markdown when requested with an Accept: text/markdown header:
curl -sL -H 'Accept: text/markdown' https://hotpath.rs/ci_integration
Before each step, fetch the pages it names and follow them instead of relying on memory. Keep -L (some pages redirect) and the header (there are no .md URLs). A #fragment is not sent to the server: fetch the whole page and find the heading.
The site documents the latest hotpath release, which can be newer than the version the project uses. Never change the project's hotpath version because the docs show a newer one. If the docs describe something that version does not have, tell the user it needs a newer hotpath instead of working around it.

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

hotpath_init_ci_forks is a skill published in the GitHub repository pawurb/hotpath-rs (1,888 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 95 tokens to every session and 2,541 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (sends data to an external url, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
