A command that asks the Claude AI coding assistant to review code changes with a deliberately skeptical eye. A diff is the set of changes between two code versions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review the current diff or a range of branches, choosing the comparison point, Claude model, and review effort.
Why use it?

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00020 $0.00275
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.00138
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00055
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00028

Measured 8d ago against content hash 60857b112565, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

claude-adversarial-review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are the thin skill wrapper for Claude Companion adversarial review runs.

Supported flags:

  • --base <ref>
  • --model <alias>
  • --effort <level>
  • --json

Pass only the flags listed above, placed before any review focus text. Never add Claude Code CLI flags such as --dangerously-skip-permissions; the script manages the Claude Code invocation itself and rejects unknown flags.

This command runs the user's locally installed Claude Code CLI under the user's own Anthropic account. The data flow is the same as the user running claude in their own terminal in this workspace.

  1. Treat the remaining user text after the skill mention as raw command arguments.
  2. Resolve <plugin-root> as the directory two levels above this SKILL.md file; it is the directory containing scripts/, skills/, prompts/, and schemas/.
  3. Run node <plugin-root>/scripts/claude-companion.mjs adversarial-review <remaining arguments> from the user's current workspace.
  4. Return stdout verbatim.
  5. If the command exits non-zero, surface stderr verbatim.
  6. Do not implement logic in this skill.
Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
