pn-dcf-model

pn-dcf-model is a skill for Cursor from perniemann/pnCore. It costs 61 tokens per session (1,342 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A discounted cash flow model estimates a company's value from projected future free cash flow. It organizes revenue and margin assumptions, calculates the discount rate and terminal value, and shows how the result changes under different assumptions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for company coverage, investment committee materials, acquisition pricing, fairness analysis, and valuation stress tests.
Why use it?
It provides an intrinsic-value view when public peer comparisons are unsuitable or distorted. Sensitivity tables show how uncertain assumptions affect the valuation range.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00061 $0.01342
Opus 5.5 $0.00024 $0.00537
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00268
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00134

Security

Grade A, and why

pn-dcf-model scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

DCF model

When to use

  • Building intrinsic-value context for a coverage initiation, IC memo, or deal fairness frame.
  • When trading comps are distorted (no close peers, cyclical trough/peak, structural transition).
  • Sensitivity analysis to stress-test acquisition price or exit assumption.

Pre-requisites

Load get_skill("pn-fsi-analyst-discipline") before producing any output. State scope, as-of date, and sources at the top.

Instructions

1. Scope and inputs declaration

Before building, declare:

  • Projection period (typically 5 or 10 years; state why).
  • Base-year revenue and EBITDA (from filing or user-supplied; cite).
  • Working capital and capex intensity assumptions (from historical or industry norm; flag if estimated).
  • Tax rate assumption (effective statutory; note deferred tax treatment if material).

If any input is estimated rather than sourced, mark it [est.] in the model and enumerate all [est.] items at the end for reviewer attention.

2. Revenue and margin build

Year-by-year for the projection period:

  • Revenue: Base × (1 + growth rate). State growth assumption rationale: analyst consensus, historical CAGR, management guidance, or agent estimate flagged [est.].
  • EBITDA margin: Trajectory from current to terminal margin. State whether margin expansion is assumed and why (operating leverage, mix shift, cost program).
  • D&A: As % of revenue or absolute; consistent with capex.
  • EBIT = EBITDA – D&A.

3. Free cash flow bridge

For each projection year:

EBIT
– Tax on EBIT (EBIT × effective tax rate)
= NOPAT
+ D&A
– Capex
± Change in net working capital
= Unlevered free cash flow (UFCF)

Present as a table. Flag any year with negative UFCF and note whether it is expected (investment phase) or an assumption gap.

4. WACC

Components:

Input Source / Method
Risk-free rate 10-year government bond yield (user-supplied or noted as [est.])
Equity risk premium Damodaran or user-supplied; cite vintage
Beta Peer-set median unlevered beta, re-levered at target capital structure; or Bloomberg 5-year weekly if available
Cost of debt Current debt coupon or credit spread + risk-free; tax-effected
Capital structure Target D/(D+E) from management guidance or peer median

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
