search-comfy-workflows

search-comfy-workflows is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from peteromallet/VibeComfy. It costs 85 tokens per session (624 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A procedure for finding existing ComfyUI and VibeComfy workflow examples, node combinations, and wiring patterns. ComfyUI is a visual system where connected nodes define media-generation steps.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to find ready templates, community examples, model or node usage, and concrete graph patterns for a workflow you want to create or change.
Why use it?
It provides precedents before you edit or build a graph, reducing guesswork about how nodes, models, and settings are commonly connected.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00085 $0.00624
Opus 5 $0.00043 $0.00312
Sonnet 5 $0.00017 $0.00125
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00062

Security

Grade A, and why

search-comfy-workflows scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 53 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Search Comfy Workflows

Use this to find evidence before editing or adding a graph. The result should tell the next agent what to open, why it matches, which node classes matter, and what is still uncertain.

Fast Path

Start local. Escalate to Hivemind when local search does not have the precedent, or when the user asks for community/Banodoco practice.

vibecomfy workflows list --ready
vibecomfy workflows list
vibecomfy search "wan i2v controlnet" --task i2v --limit 10 --json
vibecomfy inspect <workflow_id_or_path>
vibecomfy analyze info <workflow_id_or_path>

Run vibecomfy sources sync only when indexes are stale and generated index updates are acceptable.

Hivemind

Use Hivemind for current ComfyUI practice, Banodoco workflows, Kijai/Ablejones node usage, settings, model notes, and workflow examples that are not in the local corpus.

Preferred when the Astrid executor is available:

python3 -m astrid executors run hivemind.search \
--input 'query=wan animate workflow openpose' \
  --input 'limit=10'

Fallback raw HTTP:

curl -sS \
  -H 'apikey: sb_publishable_O38oPBafrBoFrpi_rlWJvA_UJrulFsx' \
  'https://ujlwuvkrxlvoswwkerdf.supabase.co/rest/v1/unified_feed?select=kind,item_id,title,body,context,url,created_at&or=(title.ilike.*wan%20animate*,body.ilike.*wan%20animate*)&order=created_at.desc&limit=20'

URL-encode spaces as %20. Favor topic-specific sources such as wan_comfyui, wan_resources, ltx_chatter, ltx_resources, comfyui, resources, and daily_summaries.

Evidence Standard

  • A broad message hit is not enough. Extract exact workflow, node class, field, socket, model, or pack evidence.
  • Prefer local ready templates when the user wants something runnable immediately.
  • Prefer Hivemind resources/workflows over chatter; use chatter for clues, not final wiring.
  • If no precedent exists, say that directly and describe the next safest inspection step.
  • Keep the handoff short: best candidates, match rationale, node/model requirements, and blockers.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

search-comfy-workflows is a skill published in the GitHub repository peteromallet/VibeComfy (149 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 85 tokens to every session and 624 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
