Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00087 | $0.01865 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00035 | $0.00746 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00017 | $0.00373 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00186 |
Grade A, and why
cve-check scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.
- These lookups use public APIs. `gh api` uses the user's GitHub login, which raises rate limits; plain `curl` against `api.github.com` is limited to 60 requests an hour. How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 100 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
CVE check
When to use
- The user asks whether a package version is vulnerable, or which version fixes an advisory.
- Before pinning, adding or upgrading to a specific version.
- When a rule's "Known vulnerabilities" table needs live verification (those tables go stale).
For a whole-project scan use security-audit. For a package that isn't installed yet use dependency-vet first.
Before you start
- Get the exact package name, ecosystem and installed version. Read the version from the lockfile, not the manifest range.
- OSV ecosystem names:
npm,PyPI,Go,crates.io,Packagist,RubyGems,NuGet,Maven(name asgroup:artifact),Pub. GitHub uses lowercase:npm, pip,go,rust, composer, rubygems, nuget, maven, pub. - These lookups use public APIs.
gh apiuses the user's GitHub login, which raises rate limits; plaincurlagainstapi.github.comis limited to 60 requests an hour.
Steps
-
Query OSV for the version. It aggregates GHSA, PyPA, RustSec, Go and malware (
MAL-) databases.curl -s -X POST https://api.osv.dev/v1/query \ -d '{"package":{"name":"next","ecosystem":"npm"},"version":"16.4.0"}' \ | jq -r '.vulns[]? | [.id, ((.aliases // []) | map(select(startswith("CVE-"))) | join(",")), (.database_specific.severity // "?"), ([.affected[] | select(.package.name=="next") | .ranges[]?.events[]? | select(.fixed) | .fixed] | join(" ")), .summary] | @tsv'For several packages at once,
POST https://api.osv.dev/v1/querybatchwith{"queries":[…]}returns IDs only. Fetch details per ID:curl -s https://api.osv.dev/v1/vulns/GHSA-p3m5-59mp-jv5r \ | jq '{id, aliases, published, severity: [.severity[]?.score], affected: [.affected[] | {pkg: .package.name, events: [.ranges[]?.events[]?]}], refs: [.references[]?.url][0:5]}' -
Query the GitHub Advisory Database for the same version, to cross-check severity, CVSS, EPSS and the first patched version:
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

cve-check is a skill published in the GitHub repository Phaedra-Solutions/cursor-rules (4 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 87 tokens to every session and 1,865 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-11-01.
