ai-sdlc-workflow: Skill for Cursor

.cursor/skills/react-native-expo/SKILL.md

react-native-expo is a skill for Cursor from phuoctrung-ppt/ai-sdlc-workflow. It costs 44 tokens per session (624 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An implementation guide for building React Native apps with Expo, including screens, navigation, lists, animations, and secure local storage. React Native lets developers build native phone apps with JavaScript or TypeScript, and Expo supplies supporting tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
Building Expo screens, routes and deep links, virtualized lists, animations, storage with SecureStore, and performance-aware release builds.
Why use it?
It keeps mobile implementation details separate from mobile interface design and highlights common concerns such as performance, navigation, and handling secrets.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00044 $0.00624
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00250
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00125
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00062

Measured 1mo ago against content hash b29069bd8f01, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

react-native-expo scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

React Native + Expo

Portable implement skill for RN / Expo apps. Complements mobile-app-ui-ux (UX) and frontend-skills (web React).

When to use

Task This skill
Screens, navigation, lists, storage, animations on RN/Expo Yes
Expo Router file routes, deep links as input Yes
Product mobile UX only (touch, IA) Pair with mobile-app-ui-ux
Next.js / RSC / web DOM No → frontend-skills

Hard rules

  1. Release builds for perf claims — never tune FPS only in dev (dev=false / release).
  2. Strip console.* in production (Babel transform-remove-console or equivalent), including noisy middleware loggers.
  3. Lists — virtualize (FlatList / FlashList); getItemLayout when row height fixed; stable keyExtractor.
  4. Animations — native driver when properties allow; animate transform / opacity, not image width/height layout thrash.
  5. Navigation — prefer native-stack transitions; Expo Router routes under app/ with typed routes when available; deep-link params are untrusted input.
  6. Secrets — never ship API secrets in the JS bundle; EXPO_PUBLIC_* / env libs are public config only.
  7. Token storage — expo-secure-store / Keychain / Keystore — not AsyncStorage.
  8. Network / auth — HTTPS only; OAuth PKCE for mobile; scrub tokens/PII from crash reporters.
  9. Safe area root — SafeAreaProvider at root when the template does not already wrap it.
  10. New Architecture — follow current reactnative.dev (not deprecated WG essays); check library compatibility before enabling.

Anti-patterns

  • Secrets in EXPO_PUBLIC_* or committed .env
  • Tokens in AsyncStorage or unencrypted redux-persist
  • Huge ScrollView of hundreds of rows
  • Heavy JS work during stack transitions
  • OAuth custom scheme without PKCE
  • Profiling only on Debug builds

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
