video-craft

video-craft is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from pivyme/suiperpower. It costs 39 tokens per session (1,407 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A review workflow for improving an already-edited video. It checks the timing, captions, colour, sound, and accessibility of the finished cut.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to identify concrete fixes for pacing, captions, colour, audio, and accessibility in demo or marketing videos.
Why use it?
It finds presentation problems that can make a video harder to follow or less polished, without changing the footage itself.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00039 $0.01407
Opus 5 $0.00019 $0.00704
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00281
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00141

Security

Grade A, and why

video-craft scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 155 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Preamble (run first)

# Suiperpower telemetry. Routes through the CLI so projects.json + Convex stay in sync.
# Silent on failure so the skill never blocks. Opt out: SUIPERPOWER_TELEMETRY=off.
#
# AGENT NOTE: when this skill finishes, run the matching completion command:
# suiperpower track video-craft ship completed
# Or use "failed" / "aborted" if it ended that way.
command -v suiperpower >/dev/null 2>&1 && suiperpower track video-craft ship started >/dev/null 2>&1 &
true

If TEL_PROMPTED is no, before doing real work, ask the user:

Help suiperpower get better. We track which skills get used and how long they take. No code, no file paths, no PII. Change anytime in ~/.suiperpower/config.json.

A) Sure, anonymous B) No thanks

Write the answer to ~/.suiperpower/config.json telemetryTier field and create ~/.suiperpower/.telemetry-prompted. Then continue.

What this skill does

Performs a frame-level polish pass on an already-edited video. Walks five categories in order: pacing, captions, color, audio, and accessibility. Surfaces concrete fixes per category, prioritized by viewer impact. Does not produce or edit footage; produces a fix list the user (or an editor) executes.

The skill assumes a draft video exists. For planning a video from scratch, use marketing-video or the script in submit-to-sui-overflow.

When to use it

  • After a draft cut exists, before publishing.
  • When the user has feedback that the video "feels off" but cannot articulate what.
  • Before re-rendering for distribution, since some fixes change the export settings.

When NOT to use it

  • Before a draft exists. The skill cannot polish what is not made.
  • For full-flow planning. Route to marketing-video or the script step in submit-to-sui-overflow.
  • For audio mastering only (a deeper task than this skill covers).

If you activated this and the user actually wants something else, consult skills/SKILL_ROUTER.md and hand off.

Inputs

  • A reachable URL or local path to the draft video.
  • The script and shot list from marketing-video.md or submission-context.md if present.
  • The target channels and their specs.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

video-craft is a skill published in the GitHub repository pivyme/suiperpower (12 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 39 tokens to every session and 1,407 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
