accessible-svg-icons

accessible-svg-icons is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from pnp/sharepoint-skills. It costs 84 tokens per session (3,050 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An SVG icon creator and reviewer. SVG is a web format for scalable graphics; this skill makes icons that stay clear at different sizes and include support for assistive technology, themes, and existing design rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create or improve inline SVG icons for navigation, controls, status messages, dashboards, and other web interfaces.
Why use it?
It helps prevent icons from becoming confusing, inconsistent, decorative clutter, or inaccessible to people using screen readers and other assistive tools.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00084 $0.03050
Opus 5.5 $0.00034 $0.01220
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00017 $0.00610
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00305

Security

Grade A, and why

accessible-svg-icons scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Accessible SVG Icons

Create SVG icons that are understandable, consistent, responsive, and usable with assistive technology. Return self-contained markup that fits the user's target environment.

Required outcomes

Create or improve SVG iconography while maintaining:

  • a modern and consistent visual style;
  • responsive vector rendering;
  • WCAG 2.2 accessibility considerations;
  • light, dark, and high-contrast theme support;
  • intentional line and solid variants;
  • clear meaning at small sizes;
  • safe, maintainable inline HTML and CSS; and
  • consistency with the experience's existing design system.

Use SVG icons to improve comprehension, hierarchy, wayfinding, and scannability. Do not add icons simply to decorate every section.

Required workflow

Do not design or replace icons until the validation and planning steps below are complete.

1. Inspect the available context

Review all supplied material that applies: complete HTML and CSS; existing icons and their visual style; experience purpose and intended audience; KPI cards and summary metrics; controls and navigation; status and feedback messages; theme rules; CSS custom properties; and available space across viewport sizes.

If required context is unavailable, use conservative defaults instead of inventing an elaborate icon system. State the missing context and assumptions.

2. Validate whether an icon is needed

For each proposed location, determine whether the icon improves comprehension, hierarchy, wayfinding, scannability, status recognition, or action recognition.

Do not add an icon when it adds decoration without useful meaning, competes with important content, duplicates a visible label without improving scanning, uses an unfamiliar metaphor, or makes a dense interface harder to understand.

3. Classify the purpose

Classify every icon before creating markup:

  • Decorative: repeats adjacent visible information and adds no new meaning.
  • Informative: communicates information not already provided nearby.
  • Interactive: appears inside a button, link, filter, menu, navigation item, or other actionable control.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
