RIPDPI: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/ripdpi-tdd/SKILL.md

ripdpi-tdd is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from po4yka/RIPDPI. It costs 52 tokens per session (1,348 once invoked), scanned A, original, BSD-3-Clause.

A test-first workflow called test-driven development, or TDD. TDD means writing a test that fails, making it pass with the smallest change, then cleaning up the code.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for new behavior or bugs that lack coverage, including work that needs test doubles or the project's FaultQueue conventions.
Why use it?
It gives a repeatable way to reproduce defects and add behavior without relying on tests that may pass for the wrong reason.

This is po4yka/RIPDPI's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on RIPDPI itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything RIPDPI configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00052 $0.01348
Opus 5.5 $0.00021 $0.00539
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00270
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00135

Security

Grade A, and why

ripdpi-tdd scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 118 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Test-Driven Development

Full test stack documentation: docs/testing.md. Do not duplicate it here -- read it when you need runner details, CI lanes, or fixture locations. The test rule and the verification policy in AGENTS.md take precedence over this skill.

When to use the cycle

Use red-green-refactor when the user asks for test-first work, or when a defect or new behavior is not caught by an existing test. Search the owning module's tests first: if an existing test covers the behavior, extend it or rely on it instead of adding one. Refactors, renames, and wiring changes need no new test; the existing tests and the module gate prove them.

Workflow

  1. RED -- Write one test for one behavior and run only that test. Confirm it fails for the expected reason. If it passes, the behavior is already covered or the test is wrong.
  2. GREEN -- Write the minimum implementation that makes it pass. Run the same test again.
  3. REFACTOR -- Clean up the test and the implementation, then run the owning module's tests once.

Run the gate that AGENTS.md assigns to the change once, after the last cycle of a batch, not after every cycle.

Running Tests

Kotlin/JVM (fast iteration)

# Single test method
./gradlew :core:engine:testDebugUnitTest --tests "ClassName.method name"

# Single test class
./gradlew :core:engine:testDebugUnitTest --tests "ClassName"

# Single module
./gradlew :core:engine:testDebugUnitTest

Replace :core:engine with the target module (:core:service, :core:data, :core:diagnostics). :app tasks are flavor-qualified (:app:testGithubFullDebugUnitTest).

Rust

# Single test
cargo nextest run --locked -p crate_name test_name

# Single crate
cargo nextest run --locked -p crate_name

Golden contracts

Golden tests are read-only by default. Blessing needs explicit user approval for the affected fixture family; follow golden-bless-discipline.md and the golden-test-management skill.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
